- Has the operational safety documents with a checklist of everything that is supposed to be taking place on site, what to do if someone gets sick on site, a check in document, CTA’s current COVID update (tier changes, research data, success story in Maine, letter from CTA leadership to Governor, link to NY TImes article on how school in San Diego County got their students back on site)
- Our Superintendent, NCOE Superintendent do not agree with NCPH officer and guidelines for reopening
- Keep biological kids in classroom either get 1st choice for daycare or can keep their kids in their classrooms during opposite cohort that the student participates in
- If a teacher has an all virtual time can they teach from their house.
- We have not talked about all of the options for phase 2
- Snow teachers did walk through with admin today which has drawn up additional concerns
- Supposedly NCOE is updating their guidelines as far as restroom usage etc.
- County says it is safe to come back without testing of students and teachers, however if CTA says teachers and students should be tested then we should follow what CTA says since we are CTA
- Expectations of the district are that teachers are being required to be tested according to the CDE, county will provide free testing and working with the district around how and when that is going to take place and not at the teacher’s expenses
- It is unknown if the CDE will allow teachers to opt out. There is a disconnect between the CDE, NCOE, NCPH etc.
