- Agenda approved - Mary Duenow moved to approve
- Approval of 9/19/16 Minutes - Minutes were approved by all
- Budget report
- Travis acct closed out $ left was placed into savings at Umpqua
- Dues deposit from CTA should be deposited by the end of the month approx. $10,000
- Ginger is working on budget that is due by 10/30/16 for our agency fee payers to view what is chargaeble vs. non-chargable
- Budget went out at last rep council and will be voted on at next site rep meeting
- NVEA/NVUSD Council - Next meeting 11/1/16 Courtney Garcia and Erin Reilly will attend, committees will take place tomorrow 10/25/16
- Nurses -
- Evaluation forms are done and there will be restructuring of nurses to meet their needs
- District is reaching out to nursing programs at PUC and NVC to get help since we have a shortage of nurses in the district
- Nurses -
- Workload-ECHO, etc -
- Still an option to use Aeries until end of year and learn ECHO as you go.
- There are ECHO focus groups being formed
- Salary schedule -
- Met and there are 4 different schedules for charter schools, etc.
- Trying to level everyone, consolodate and even everything out
- Elementary Prep -
- Meets tomorrow 10/25/16
- Equity, look at schedules (later start, earlier start, daily block, etc. collaboration time etc. see what else is out there)
- Grading -
- Elementary Summit - Gayle heard great things from admin, but not great things from teachers. Purpose was to get all teachers on the same page as to how they grade
- Looking at different rubrics and how to align them around the 6 C’s.
- Secondary is suppose to have a summit by January
- Evaluations
- Meets tomorrow 10/25/16 at 1pm
- Use edivate and using videos for teacher to be taught or teacher is videod for a lesson and can go back and watch their own lesson.
- Edivate hasn’t been shared yet
- Being used at leadership roles, fullan, ELD leads,
- Admin is suppose to be introducing it to staff
- Need to have something clearer in contract as far as language is concerned so one as a teacher can grow, better practices etc.

- Next month - Coutney and Erin are attending 11/1/16 noon Wappo room

- Gayle went over a multi-year salary comparison from 2012-13 through 2016-17
- Gayle reviewed the presentation that Wade is going to present at the site rep meeting on 10/31/16 (Formula 2.0 Understanding the Calculation)
- Wade was asked to update it to 2016-17 numbers

- We are 3rd in the county and area as far as salary is concerned

- Toy Drive -
- Gayle wants to do a Toy Drive
- Have each rep bring an unwrapped toy at the next site rep meeting on November 28, 2016
- Wellness -
- Two different committees one about students and one about what is being taught regarding health, foods brought on campus, this is about the wellness of teachers,
- Dana Page is putting together something with Kaiser,
- Employees received a survey to fill out
- look for things to start in January
- If anyone is interested in starting a group let Gayle know
- Vice President Report - working at getting membership roster updated

- Karen putting together information for the members as far as what beneftis are available

- State Council Repurposed -
- Mike and Gayle knocked on doors for Prop 55, did postcards and phone banking
- Big push on 55
- Concern with election of Clinton if they feel it is a done deal then they will stay away from the polls
- Big message there are no new taxes (30 had two parts - sales tax and additional income tax on those earning a given higher salary

- Prop 55 is priority for CTA it maintains the status quo
- Doesn’t bring us a mess load of money
