- Welcome
- Review of Agenda
- Budget -Process for next year, we are doing pretty good this year
- Member Engagement Plan - May 31st at Hop Creek 3:00 to 5:30pm?
- Council Members - Kelley Chavez has resigned and Sarah Miller will be taking her place. There may be other changes down the line
- Rep Council Reps - Counselors would like representation on site rep council. Gayle sent out a letter to current site reps to see if they were continuing on as a site rep or holding an election to elect a replacement
- Contract Changes and Ratification - Voting on ratification begins 5/15/18 and ends on 5/30/18. All ballots need to be returned to the NVEA office by 3:30 on 5/31/18
- Roadshows new dates - May 24, 2018 at NHS starting at 4pm and ACHS on May 30, 2018 starting at 3:45pm.
- Negotiations -Unit input ideas for next year - Debbie asked if special ed workload could be its own topic of focus for council and it was suggested that the sped subcommittee continue with workload being the focus
- Accountability Wall Charts - Steve asked if accountability of site reps could actually be posted on the wall with check marks showing which sites did what as far as accountability and then share out strategies on what other sites are doing.
- Communications Structure Plan - Mike is looking at a communication plan that could be more centralized and people in Sonoma to give us tips on what we can do better as far as communications is concerned. We decided that twitter would probably be better than instagram since most of our members tweet. Mary asked if we could have a link on our website regarding Marijuana laws. We have non-district contact information for approximately 70% of our members. We probably have more contact information that Gayle or Ginger can get from the district.
- PAC meeting currently scheduled May 31, 2018 according to Steve. Date to be verified since this is our member social. John Call attended and talked about who lives in this distrcit and create a list ranking them and asking them specific questions pertaining to the district. Currently we have at least 3 school board seats up for election. -Bylaw changes?
- Steve Savage - passed out a chapter check list if Janus passes and things to consider. Scripts will be coming from CTA to use when talking with members.
