Gayle would like Deb and Michael go through the secondary info and Courtney and Kristin go through the Elementary info to share out in April. There is a google form with a lot of stuff for Special Ed. Gayle and Debbie Kmiec will work on Special Ed. Mary can work on membership to make sure we can get some more home email addresses. We can’t do a lot of things with school email. Elaine will be working with negotiations, and Gayle and Mike will work on a toolkit for additional on line supports, ideas. It is important that we as educators have tools to lean back on.

- RIF update
- We are still going forward with all the rif’s. There were two meetings with the attorneys to make sure everyone understood the process. The plan was to rescind some of the layoff notices since high school is still working on schedules. Timelines are still the same and we are moving forward. It looks like some of the multiple subject positions from 2015 will be rescinded. There was some confusion with reassignment notices and layoff notices. The way some of the principals handed out rif notices was unacceptable and they have or will be spoken to.

- Negotiations
- Workday - Dana shared a “brain dump” asking for feedback from Exec board and by Friday of last week it had changed. It won't be a “Cyber high”. There is some time to put things in place before spring break ends. Gayle is trying to get it to be more site based so teachers have a voice. Some teachers may want structure like cyber high. Questions - trying to keep the distance from independent studies vs. remote learning. As far as having multiple periods, is the focus to have kids log in to hear what the teacher has to say or the teacher being available to answer questions? There are expectations of kids showing up. How can we meet the needs of all kids (high achievers, those that turn things in on line, kids that don’t have internet, disengaged kids, non-performers, etc. is there district ownership where the teacher keeps track of who shows up in the meeting. Technology is currently working on getting devices in the hands of every student K-12 and getting internet access to those who don’t have it at home. Concern around care of the devices. Who is working on learning expectations? Are there any teachers sitting at that table? We need to negotiate our workday. There will be a zoom with negotiations in council. Principals looked at cyber high and some said no they were not interested. Getting the time and place from Pat Andry-Jennings is tough. Social workers are interested in having plans in place and Mike Mansuy didn’t want to leave counselors out. There is a logistical challenge and a need for a schedule. What about kids in the same home, teachers and kids in the same home, kids watching other siblings, etc. Time that we are being expected to work seems unreasonable especially with situations at home. Teachers can not be micromanaged and there needs to be flexibility. What is being pushed out to non-academic teachers as far as equity is concerned? Gayle would like to see teachers creating lessons etc. Is there going to be some place where we all post our lessons? Gayle will send info out as soon as there is additional information provided.
- Article - talks about how to go on-line and the whole school day from 8-3 is not realistic.
