Next meeting - 7/7/20 from 10:00 - 12:00 prior to council meeting at 1:00pm
- Why it is important to remember to use blind copy and union use of the district's server.
- Gayle talked with CTA this morning Jerry & Rick and the agitate button has been pushed and everyone is definitely being heard
- When you reply all your responses are being sent to EVERYONE to include the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent etc.
- more information is coming out from the state
- Cameras smaller number of kids in classes so we wouldn’t have everyone on zoom at the same time
- Interest piece that is put with the task force and all of that information is shared. Gayle is able to access but she doesn’t know if everyone else has access rights.
- We are still moving forward with going back to school
- Gayle shared a letter from Rosanna which is suppose to be sent out today
- If Rosanna takes a plan to Relucio, given the ok and it goes public without NVEA approval then we don’t go back to work putting NVUSD teachers on the spot and being the guilty party.
- Teachers are being asked to respond and is it possible to share the list of responses with no names attached so the district can start to respond. Teachers have been asked to respond to a number of things and might start ignoring requests to respond.
- NAPS is responding, but CSEA is not since they are their own entity as being Classified personnel.
- There are going to need to be negotiations between 7/7/20 and 7/17/20.
- MIke Pearson is taking Rosanna and others to Snow and Redwood to see what will actually be touched in a classroom if we return to school on 8/19/20
- We need to approach this in a systematic manner and possibly take a Phase in system with the ultimate goal of all back when we are ready.
- We can’t expect our teachers to have lower standards than what is being expected of businesses in the community
- 75 - 80% of our people are willing to come back provided safety measures are put in place
- The decision of whether or not teachers should return to school SHOULD NOT be based on a majority vote. We need to take into consideration the act of science etc.
- At what point is this out of hands?
- Survey was sent out to parents in June and situations have changed drastically since the survey was launched. How many parents would change their decision given today’s circumstances?
- We need to have a plan that phases in and phase out if we need to
- We had 235 responses by teachers to the survey that was sent out in June
- We need to get all NVUSD’s teacher’s home email addresses so we can get these responses off of the district server.
- Indemnification - schools need to be indemnified so that individuals CANNOT come back and sue the district should an employee or family contract the Corona Virus.
- Where is the money coming from to purchase cameras
- Cost of using Swivel was an option, but they don’t always work and we don’t have enough of them.
- We are still rehiring teachers
- Dan Scudero is leaving the district and has accepted a job with Mt. Diablo Unified School district.
- Work groups are suppose to be finished by 7/6/20
- Gayle talked with CTA this morning Jerry & Rick and the agitate button has been pushed and everyone is definitely being heard
- Communication of what has already been done around the re-opening of school to all.

- Whatever else comes up
